Description:

A non-profit group. We get our funds from our own selves and from friends' donations. Volunteerism is our main engine. 

A group of people (professionals and non, students and out-of-school youth (oosy)) who are destined to meet in social media networking with one common goal: to help without reward. These people have the heart and willingness to help others in any way they can whenever, wherever, whatever, by sharing their 3Ts time, talent and treasure.

A group where trust, fairness, harmony, loyalty, understanding, joy flow among the members. In which FRIENDSHIP is the strong foundation with God is at the center that binds us all together. 

Helping others doesn't mean you have to be there personally. Prayer is the most powerful tool to help one another. The more we pray the more our petition would be heard. So don't think you cannot do something. Small deed is greater than the biggest intention.

Meaning of the acronym SMILE:

• S - Selflessness is the act of sacrificing ones own interest for the greater good.
• M - Motivation is literally the desire to do things for the good of others.
•  I - Inspiration is a divine influence in words and action directly and immediately exerted upon the mind or soul of others    
• L - Love is a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection — “the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another".            
• E - Enthusiasm is a great excitement for or interest in doing a cause beneficial for others.

Mission:

To promote BAYANIHAN in all our activity.

To give the young children a place to learn and play, boost their confidence, develop social skills and creativity through reading, writing and singing as well through the books and school supplies donated.

To encourage and motivate the children that war is not the answer to have peace. They will be trained to hold a pencil to express their thoughts and not firearms as their sword and to use colors to express the beauty of their surroundings. 

To inspire them to go to school and to enlighten their young minds that through education they will be the hope of their family, the future leaders of our country.

We, at SMILE, believe that by helping the child through education you can help the entire family.

History of Project : Kabataan, Paaralan para sa Kinabukasan

First Project : "Kabataan, Paaralan Para sa Kinabukasan" (Youth, School for the Future)
Recipient: Ismael Primary School
Number of Students: 45 ( Kinder 10, Grade I 20, Grade II 15)
Location: Birada Ekong,Lower Maligue, Isabela City, Basilan 
 

Origin and Purpose:

The project for this school had been made because of strong friendship. Before my dear friend assigned in this school, without any idea what the status of the school, I've already pledged to support her. I thought at first, she would be only one of the faculty teachers of a certain organized established school. But then she was also too surprise, as well as I, that she would be assign as the teacher-in-charge of a newly opened school. I was very glad knowing that of course being an OIC is not a joke after all. But then again, added to our surprise, is the situation of the school. She was just texting me and describing the status of the school. So I was imagining it.  My friend said "I had pictures of the school." As she uploaded it and posted in fb, I felt low seeing the real problem but inspired by the children participating and attending classes despite of the situation. So as to fulfill our commitment, this project was launched with the support also of Karla Tricia creator and founder of PPS.

We are planning not only for the books and school supplies donation but also for the construction of the building, if God wills it,  we would find the right sponsor for it.

Remarks: 

           MISSION ACCOMPLISHED as of October 5, 2012. Books, learning materials, and school supplies were distributed coincide with the celebration World Teachers' Day and National Children's Month.
