EVERY BLOOD DONOR IS A HERO
A friend of mine, whom I’ve known in Facebook since when he was in Korea, Ramonito Villaver, asked help for his uncle 2LT Miguel Ouano PA (Ret) who is confined in Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) due to acute diabetes. Sir Miguel was scheduled to have an operation as soon as possible and packs of blood were needed for his dialysis and operation. Through the help of Cdr Lloyd Casis PN and Deputy Commander Bienvenido Casis Jr PA NSA of GHQ & HSC in Camp Emilio Aguinaldo, we had mobilized our men from different branches of our AFP to be the blood donors on May 8, 2012. These are our men in uniform who are ready to serve anytime anywhere without asking. They added life to our dear friend Sir Miguel and this act is regarded as heroism.
This morning Aunt Bhebe, sister of Sir Miguel, texted me and told me that he is still in VMMC waiting for his artificial foot. Thank God that he is alright now. Sir Miguel had also undergone therapy.
